Wayne M. Pathman is managing partner of Miami-based Pathman Law, LLC. He is one of Florida’s distinguished lawyers with more than 30 years experience. Mr. Pathman heads the firm’s Land Use, Zoning, and Environmental Law Section. He is the Immediate Past Chair of the City of Miami’s Climate Resilience Committee and the Immediate Past Chair of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Pathman is recognized as one of Florida Trend magazine’s 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors throughout the state. He is one of only 53 attorneys selected to the 2019 Florida 500, and was selected again in 2020.
Mr. Pathman represents businesses, developers, and individuals before administrative and regulatory bodies at the municipal, state, and federal levels in land use, zoning, and environmental matters. He is a leading authority and lecturer on issues regarding water law.
He is the 2016 co-creator and moderator of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s series of four sea level rise events: “A Time to Start Thinking Differently, The Economic Impact of Sea Level Rise on South Florida.”
Mr. Pathman represents developers of apartment buildings, shopping centers, hotels, and historic properties. He frequently represents residential and commercial developers seeking land use and zoning approval. He also represents developers and individuals regarding marine docks and dockage issues. He also represents numerous businesses and individuals with complex commercial litigation matters regarding contract disputes with zoning and real estate matters. Mr. Pathman frequently addresses various government agencies and private institutions on land use/zoning and water-related matters.
